Backlit Letters
Backlit letters are produced as volumetric letters illuminated from behind. The light falls on the wall and creates a halo effect around each letter.
Production Process
Design Preparation
Starting from a logo, text, or font. The size, thickness of the letters, spacing, and wall mounting method are checked.
Cutting the Letter Face
The face can be made of plexiglass, PVC, bond, or wood, depending on the project. Cutting is usually done with CNC, laser, or router.
Building the Letter Side
The side gives volume to the letter. It can be made from aluminum, stainless steel, PVC, or other rigid materials. It is bent to the shape of the letter and fixed on the contour.
Installing the LED System
LEDs are installed inside the letter, facing backward. LED modules or LED strips are used, chosen based on the letter size and desired intensity.
Adding Translucent Back or Spacers
For the backlit effect, the light must exit at the back. The letter is mounted at a distance from the wall, using spacers. Sometimes an opal or transparent plexiglass back is used for light dispersion.
Lighting Testing
The uniformity of the light, color temperature, consumption, connections, and power supply are checked. Areas that are too strong or too weak are adjusted before installation.
Installation Preparation
The installation template is created. Positions are marked on the wall, cables are drawn, and the power supply is installed.
Wall Installation
The letters are fixed at a distance from the surface. The light reflects on the wall and forms the specific halo of backlit letters.
COVRIGESCU
For COVRIGESCU, we created a luminous sign based on transparent plexiglass, with a logo made from black plexiglass. The backlit lighting, mounted behind the logo, creates a uniform luminous contour and highlights the brand's visual identity.
